TIA 942 is the comprehensive Data Centre standard that has been developed by the Telecom Industry Association, USA, and is the most widely recognized Data Centre standard in the world. Not every facility has to comply with Tier 4 of TIA 942, if the industry and application requirements do not warrant the heavy expense associated with the Tier 4 standard.
